Prototipo de "L'Unione Sarda" on-line

Sin dalla nascita WWW si é dimostrato un formidabile strumento di navigazione ( browser ) delle informazioni di qualsiaso tipo ( multimediale) in maniera semplice ed amichevole per qualsiasi tipo di utente (user-friendly).
Inoltre la peculiarità del progetto WWW di essere ipertestuale consente di maneggiare le informazioni in maniera non lineare, proprio come un
coumune lettore fruisce dell'informazioni di un giornale.
Nasce cosí l'idea di realizzare un prototipo di "On-line Hypermedia Journal" quale fornitore interattivo di servizi e information browsing.
In quest'ottica si puo' pensare ad una unita' di informazione che puo' comprendere diverse fonti correlate (testo,immagini,video,audio) e che consente attraverso l'uso della rete di rendere il flusso informativo continuo facendo perdere le limitazioni/imposizioni temporali (quotidiano,settimanale,ecc...).
L'uso della tecnologia elettronica fornisce sistemi già collaudati per il reperimento delle informazioni, rendondo facilmente possibili ricerche sull'archivio elettronico del giornale.
Infine lo scenario prevedibile sara' un un giornale multimediale personalizzato che permetta
una "navigazione dell'informazione" in maniera totale, dando cioe' la possibilita' ai lettori del giornale di accedere in maniera trasparente a tutte le informazioni rese disponibili dai vari fornitori di informazioni (quali ad
esempio enti locali, hotel, cinema, musei, ecc.).
From the beginning WWW has proofed to be an useful tool for easy and user-friendly browsing of
information, whatever its type: text, audio, graphics and even video.
Moreover, the fact that WWW supports
hypertextual links in documents, makes it possible to browse in a random-access way, just like one tends to
read a newspaper.
These aspects have led, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Studies, Research
and Development in Sardinia (CRS4), to the experiment of the L'Unione Sarda Hypermedia, which provides
interactive browsing of news. This can be seen as a gathering place of various sources of information:
newspapers (text and photo's), radio (audio) and television (video).
The prototype provides a continuous flow
of information without the traditional, temporal limits of newspapers and magazines. An electronic archive
will permit the user to browse and retrieve outdated news.
In the end the prototype will allow to other
institutions such as railways, airways, hotels, restaurants, cinemas, museums, meteorological centres etc. to
include their information.
